If you want to send your loved one in the army of homemade cookies to send their children to a camp or school, or maybe just add some biscuits right to your own cookie jar, here are some recipes for you. Sweet biscuits or cookies footprint of the coconut, there is sure to please.
Party Cookies
1 cup butter flavored shortening
1 cup brown sugar
1 / 2 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 tablespoons coffee vanilla extract
2 1 / 4 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 1 / 2 cups plain candy coated chocolate
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Beat brown sugar, granulated sugar and butter in large bowl until light and fluffy. Mix the eggs and vanilla. Combine flour, salt and baking soda, combine with the sugar mixture. Mix well. Add candies 1 / 2 cup. Drop dough by rounded teaspoons on ungreased baking sheets. Press remaining candies on top of biscuits. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
Yield: 6 dozen cookies

1.2 cup butter flavored shortening
Sugar 1 / 2 cup
1 egg, separated
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 / 4 cup unsifted all-purpose flour
Tsp salt 1 / 4
Baking powder 1 / 4 teaspoon
2.3 cup shredded coconut
1 / 4 cup preserves thickness or jam of your choice
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly grease cookie sheets 2, set aside.
In a large bowl, beat butter with sugar, egg yolk and vanilla at medium speed of electric mixer. Combine flour, salt and baking powder, add to creamed mixture. Mix well. Shape dough into balls 1 inch in diameter. Beat egg white until slightly Sparkling. Dip the dough balls in egg white then roll in coconut. Place on prepared baking sheet. Make a slight depression in the center of each cookie with your thumb. Place jam 1 / 2 teaspoon or depression of each cookie. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 or 9 minutes or until the coconut begins to brown. Cool on baking sheet about 1 or 2 minutes, then remove the rack to cool completely.
Yield: about two dozen cookies
