Five pastel pink pound cake: 1 / 2 c. butter 1 1 / 2 cup sugar 2 1 / 4 cup flour 3 tsp. baking powder 1 / 2 tsp. salt 1 c. 4 eggs beaten with milk rose 10 point white geranium leaves FILLING: Rose geranium jelly glaze: 1 egg white 1 / 4 cup sugar 1 / 8 tsp. 3 tablespoons cream of tartar. water 1 / 2 tsp. almonds red food coloring Beat butter and sugar. In another bowl, sift flour, baking powder and salt. Add sifted dry ingredients to the mix cream alternately with milk. Fold beaten egg whites. Butter and flour two 8-inch cake pans. Place five rose geranium petals at the bottom of each mold. Pour mixture and bake for 25-30 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool on racks. Remove the leaves. Spread jelly between layers geranium. Prepare glazed the top of the boiler double white sugar egg mixture, cream of tartar and water. Beat with rotary beater until it holds its shape (5 to 7 minutes). Times in flavor and color food drops. Remove from heat and whisk until cool and stiff. Frost cake.
