How do you rate a cookbook? What distinguishes a good big one?
I have been asked to vote on a series of cookbooks in order to better worse. I cook so I know that one good one bad I can not seem to say what makes a great cookbook.
Seeking recipes with clear instructions that will continue, not just some kind of afterthought to accompany the pretty pictures. There should be plenty of recipes and technical discussions. If each delicious recipe has a photo is not a cookbook that is trying to teach cooking. It is food porn, to be coveted during and after storage. ° ∠)
